US history professor gives two cents on Assassin's Creed III
Smart guy Assistant Professor of History Gregory O'Malley of the University of California Santa Cruz has aired his thoughts on Ubisoft's choice of historical setting for Assassin's Creed III.
The War of Independence is the next destination for the franchise, but it's far from a 'clear cut' conflict. There's so much to draw from, he says, with "diverse and complicated" armies.

Former Codemasters developer Tim Browne has revealed on his Twitter feed that he will be working on Assassin's Creed III's online multiplayer. Browne's Twitter account now describes him as the "Lead Game Designer on Assassin's Creed 3 Multiplayer @Ubisoft".
Browne had previously worked on two Operation Flashpoint titles: Red River and Dragon Rising. OpFlash is best known for being a hardcore militaristic shooter, which is hardly a similar genre to Assassin's Creed.

In Assassin's Creed 3 players will have to deal with the changing of the seasons, as regions will have to deal with the heat of summer and the bitter cold of 1770's Colonial America, UbiSoft has revealed.
The seasons won't be just aesthetic, as the weather will have an affect on gameplay. In the winter, heavy snow and ice will block and open new paths, and bog down movement on the ground. However, since Connor use the trees to speed through the terrain. Connor will have such an advantage in the wildnerness, he will be analogous to a predator stalking and hunting down his prey bogged in snow and ice.

Just because we're into the fifth instalment of the Assassin's Creed franchise, but the third full sequel, it doesn't mean newcomers aren't welcoming to hop on - Ubisoft encourage it.
