Leading the UK all format chart number one is, yet again, Zumba Fitness. L.A. Noire has climbed 2nd from 4th followed by F.E.A.R. 3 entering 3rd.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon has managed 17th for it's opening last week. Unfortunately Shadows of the Damned lucked out and limped to 31st place.

Former Assassin's Creed boss Patrice Desilets starts at THQ

Patrice Desilets was instrumental in the creation of Assassin's Creed franchise which exploded in popularity and sales, but now he officially works at THQ.

The former Ubisoft developer is finally free of his contractual obligations and so begins work at THQ's new Montreal studio. Only now is he revealing his new project.

Look out Hollywood because Ubisoft is ready to swagger into town with their fancy blockbuster selling videogame franchises like Assassin's Creed.

The other two big name IPs looking for some silver screen time are Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. Tinsel town talent is very interested they say.

Publisher Ubisoft has now posted their entire fiscal year results for FY2011, and it's looking mighty fine. Total sales hit EUR 1,039m versus FY2010's EUR 871m.

Q4 sales landed higher than their guidance at EUR 178m, although that is down from last year's Q4. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has sold over 7.2m units.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations 'not rushed', "always aim" for 90+

Creative director Alexandre Amancio of Ubisoft has dismissed any notion that Assassin's Creed: Revelations is being 'crunched' all the way to the finish line.

It's a "huge team across many studios" that work together to build Revelations, and they want a "90-plus game." Revelations will be revealing "a lot of the answers".
