Developer Beamdog looking to develop Baldur's Gate 3
Beamdog, the developer working on Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and its sequel, are hoping to generate enough interest in the classic Dungeons & Dragons-licensed roleplaying game to fund Baldur's Gate 3.
BeamDog dev Cameron Tofer declared, "Baldur's Gate 3 has been our long term goal," the added, "We have a lot of things to put in place before such a project can be launched. So currently there is no such project but that's the one we want to do. Our thoughts have been that Enhanced Edition for BG 1 and 2 just make sense before there's any Baldur's Gate 3."

Baldur's Gate is back, as Atari has officially announced Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition, for release this Summer 2012.
There is no other information about the games save the titles, but the "enhanced edition" seems to indicate they'll be the same original Baldur's Gate titles - but with updated graphics, sound, widescreen format and HD resolution.
