Kickstarter graduate The Banner Saga from developer Stoic has been given a "mid-year" window for release. A multiplayer portion of the game, subtitled Factions, is in open beta right now.
It's a turn-based, Viking-themed and story led strategy RPG. The goal is to lead our clan of Vikings to glory. Stoic is made up of just three people, and all are former BioWare devs.

UK developers, writers, film producers and artists will finally be able to crowd source their projects with British currency via Kickstarter on Halloween. They can begin setting up their projects today.

Indie developer Stoic has announced that they will be releasing Banner Saga Factions in early November. The game is a free-to-play multiplayer version of The Banner Saga, which the studio earlier this year raised funding through Kickstarter.

The funding for The Banner Saga on Kickstarter ended thirty minutes ago as of the time of this writing. Since the project passed the $650K mark, ending with just over $700K, the game will feature player-owned cities in multiplayer.
