A new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins has just been let out of the Batcave and it focuses on some serious in-game fisticuffs between Batman and his many adoring fans assassin hunters.

We also catch a small exchange between the fledgling Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon. Confirmed assassins so far are Bane, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Copperhead and now Firefly.

Games for Windows Live service terminating July 2014, will affect GFWL titles

Microsoft's announcement of ending their Games for Windows Live Marketplace was welcomed almost with glee by the PC community, but now the many GFWL enabled titles are threatened.

As of July 2014, Microsoft will be ending the Games for Windows Live service. That means all GFWL titles (GTA IV, Batman) will lose features and possibly save data.

Batman: Arkham Origins confirmed for Steamworks, no Games for Windows Live

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Batman: Arkham Origins won't be adopting the Games for Windows Live platform, as instead it will include Steamworks. The previous Arkham titles were hostage to GFWL.

No multiplayer was present in Asylum or City, but GFWL was used to track achievements. The unfortunate side effect was installation troubles and saved games often lost during backup or transfer.

The official Batman: Arkham Twitter feed is teasing a major reveal in three days for Batman: Arkham Origins. The feed posted a Wanted Poster that's heavily redacted.

Batman: Arkham Origins Collector's Edition includes 30cm statue, not for PC

Warner Bros. has announced a Collector's Edition for their late October due Batman: Arkham Origins. It comes with a 30cm "highly detailed premium statue" depicting Batman and The Joker.

There's also an 80-page hardcover artbook, an Assassin's Intel Dossier on the game's 8 assassins, as well as some DLC including the PS3 exclusive Knightfall pack.
