The origins of the slaughtermod have been traced back to a couple of weeks after the release of Battlefield 2. According to the legend, two friends had been playing a two-person LAN for many, many hours. Devoured and exhausted by a disturbing amount of playtime without sleep, coupled with chips and cola, the two friends were getting slightly bored with the regular bf2. One of them, a mind boggling creature who calls himself "BoneHead", decided to look into the .tweak files of battlefield 2, and not before long, the first weapon was created: A full-auto pistol, much like the one we see in todays mod. After jumping around the room like a sick, sick monkey, punching himself on the chest, BoneHead sat down and did some more tweaking, and before the end of the LAN, he almost had a whole mod. Firing artillery shells from snipers through the thick undergrowth of the now legendary map "Skov", the two friends entertained themselves for hours. The mad creature decided to put up a crappy site on Freewebs.com. Their mod became popluar for those who noticed it among the clouds of other equally crappy minimods, interviews were given and the first version was downloaded more than 56 times by people all over the world.
Unfortunately, the makers didn't keep updates coming or bother to update their site, so the mod rapidly died out. But recently, distubing sounds are yet coming from the same area in the awkward kingdom of Denmark. Could it be? Has the slaughtermod really awakened?
