Ex-Battlefield boss Gordon Van Dyke joins Paradox Interactive
Having left Battlefield developer DICE back in 2010, Gordon Van Dyke went and joined the ranks of Visceral Games but has now left EA altogether for Sweden.

Developer DICE were "very unhappy" they couldn't manage PC Battlefield: Bad Company, saying resources were stretched with Frostbite and consoles.

EA general manager Ben Cousins reveals their Battlefield Play4Free game cost them "just over" 5 percent of Battlefield 3's budget - production and marketing.
Costs were kept low by using Bad Company 2 weapons and Battlefield 2 maps, which was decided to give people "familiarity", and it's out of 'paranoia' too.

The PC version of Battlefield 1943 has been officially canceled, with the developer DICE moving on and focusing on completing Battlefield 3.

Big boss John Riccitiello of EA has dropped news that they've got a "very exciting entry later in the year" for the FPS genre but aren't announcing yet.
