Borderlands 2 gets final DLC this April, celebrates Valentine's Day

Gearbox Software has announced the absolutely final piece of DLC for Borderlands 2, and they mean it this time. It's called 'Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax' and it will be releasing this April.

There's a treat before then though for Valentine's Day, with the release of 'Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre', starring the feuding families Hodunk and Zaford.

Gearbox Software's sequel Borderlands 2 has earned a special place in 2K Games history as their "highest selling release" with over 8.5 million sold. This was attributed to all the add-on content post launch.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said it was a "prime example" of how add-on content can "generate substantial revenue" over extended periods. Likely to repeated with Borderlands 3.

Developer Gearbox has announced its second Headhunter DLC, entitled the Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler, which is themed around the US holiday of Thanksgiving. It releases November 26th.

Mr. Torgue will be hosting this tournament held on Pandora, which involve Vault Hunters taking on a rigged contest against the Wattle Gobbler. It launches for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Take-Two has "more than 10 unique titles" for Xbox One and PS4

During the Q2 2014 earnings call for Take-Two, the company has revealed they have "more than 10 unique" next-gen titles in the works, and that includes "multiple releases" for fiscal 2015. What are they?

CEO Strauss Zelnick continued saying they're "new intellectual properties" as well as from "proven franchises," but no specifics were given. The 2K family is quite large.

Gearbox answer on Borderlands 2 item drops, 'shameful' loot lasted so long

Creative director Paul Hellquist for Borderlands 2 has answered fans on how the loot drop mechanic works in the series, and how he tried to end the reign of high end guns lasting almost forever.

Finding an epic handgun meant you might be dismissing hundreds of loot drops for, possibly, your character's entire career. This was a shameful situation, he acknowledged.
