This config_mp.cfg file is designed for speed, and
consistency, rather than high-end graphics. This config
WILL boost your frame rate by at least 40 frames per
second. I say at least, because my frame rate went from
60FPS to 250FPS max. Any seasoned FPS gamer makes
playability more important than graphics, especially
online where their reputation, and the reputation of
their clan is at stake.

This config disables most effects and detail settings,
this is not a cheat. These are manual adjustments to make
this game run much better on average-to-great systems and
playable on older hardware. In fact, it is my opinion
that people who buy an online game with the purpose of
cheating are complete losers. Why spend $50 on a game if
you feel the only way you can enjoy it is ruin it for
everyone else. You were better off sitting lonely in your
mom's basement on your PS2 or XBOX, with an Action Replay.
Cheaters are the lowest of the low, didn't your parents
teach you anything?

Feel free to share this, and feel free to adjust my
config file to your liking, but please if you do make
changes, note this on your forum post. Do not share this
config without including this README file, and DO NOT
share this config_mp.cfg after it has been altered. I DO
NOT want people spamming my clan's forums because some
other idiot that downloaded this changed something that
crashes or blanks their records.

----------------------Installation-----------------------

Go to:
C:Program FilesActivisionCall of Duty 4 - Modern Warfareplayersprofiles

1.) CREATE A BACKUP of your current game profile folder.
Easiest way to do this is just make a zip file out of the folder.

2.) After you have backed up, copy the config_mp.cfg file
to the C:Program FilesActivisionCall of Duty 4 - Modern WarfareplayersprofilesPLAYERNAME
folder, where PLAYERNAME is YOUR name.

3.) To edit the file, right-click the config_mp.cfg file
and "OPEN-WITH" "Choose Program" Select Notepad or
Wordpad as the permanent setting, NOT Word, or
WordPerfect etc.

Edit the binds to your liking, for example, you might
want to make the key for knife the Shift key. My config
sets the knife bind to the middle mouse button. To
change this, replace the following lines:

bind MOUSE3 "+melee"

with:

bind SHIFT "+melee"

Also, remember to change your player name IN the new
config file. Look for the following:

//insert player name below
seta name "PlayerName"

Change PlayerName with whatever your name is. Remember
the game limits how many characters your name will be
displayed as in-game to 15 characters. for example if
your name is Gremm_Paltakin{FU} on the score card it will
be displayed as Gremm_Paltakin{ .

4.) Load the game. After the game boots, DO NOT change
*ANY* graphics settings, as it may mess up the new config
file. If you want to change anything (which I don't
recommend anyways) do it through the console or in the
config file.
