C.A.R.S. open to public investors
Slightly Mad Studios, which developed Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2, has opened up the first game in their consumer investor portal World of Mass Development (WMD) to the public.
C.A.R.S. is a realistic kart racer, whose acronym stands for Community Assisted Racing Sim, which is exactly what it sounds like: gamers who like the concept invest money in the game from the start, and get a proportionate share in the profits. Users may invest in the game’s development as much as $100,000.
