| All this new-fangled hardware for the next generation consoles wouldn't typically be something a PC centric developer like Firaxis would care much for, but producer Dennis Shirk says they're paying attention. It's what Microsoft and Sony are coming up with that goes into the machines, like Kinect and PS4's new controllers with 'Move built in'. They're becoming "much more attractive" to PC studios. |

| Firaxis has learnt quite a few things from their initial post launch days with Civilization V, says senior producer Dennis Shirk. Chief among those lessons were that fans craved more than 'just more Civs'. While 'neat' you could play as another civilization, you were still "playing the same game," which is why Firaxis targeted "bigger gameplay systems" with expansions. |
