Standalone multiplayer Company of Heroes 2: The Western Front Armies out June

SEGA has announced a standalone multiplayer Company of Heroes 2 will be released this June. The Western Front takes the RTS back to the Allied and German frontlines in western Europe.

It will launch for $19.99, with each individual army at a "minimal entry point" of $12.99. The US Forces and the German Oberkommando West will be squaring off online on the Western Front.

What Relic Entertainment has up their content sleeve for Company of Heroes 2 will be known as the studio plans to deliver a session at EGX Rezzed next week on Friday at The NEC in Birmingham, UK.

Executive Producer Greg Wilson and Game Director Quinn Duffy will be flapping their gums at 3pm GMT on Friday, March 28th. They'll talk about Relic's history and future plans for COH.

The strategic showdown between Total War: Rome II and Company of Heroes 2 had ended with Relic's WWII RTS winning the Make War Not Love competition. That means two Commander DLCs go free.

While Total War: Rome II would have received a free DLC if its community had won enough battles, Company of Heroes 2 gets a free German and Soviet Commander pack until February 22nd.

This weekend, SEGA has unleashed the dogs of war on Valentine's Day. They want us divided into camp Total War and camp Company of Heroes as the two go head-to-head... but not really.

For every battle won in Total War: Rome II or Company of Heroes 2, a point is scored. The community with the greatest horde of points wins DLC for their chosen game.
