Darn keyboard...and late night.
My OP was actually meant to read:"Actually, the game is not DX10 specific...". Sorry for the spelling mishap. Chech out Tweakguides.com for the full explanation and warnings on attempting this. Wowerine if u discovered this by accident, congrats. But it has been a well-known "tweak" since the Demo.
