Epic Games founder Cliff Bleszinski has been generally disappointed with multiplayer modes in Japanese titles. For instance, he was disappointed that Vanquish, which was developed by Platinum Games, had no multiplayer at all.

However, he is impressed with From Software's multiplayer in the brutal dark fantasy game Dark Souls, and hopes other Japanese developers take notice and gain some inspiration from the game.

The European and North American operations of Namco Bandai are becoming one entity under the stewardship of newly appointed overseas CEO Mark Tsuji. It's for a "united front".

Their overseas business has become "even more critical," and this embraces that. Namco achieved 24% market share in Japan last fiscal, a sign of "impressive leadership".

Namco Bandai is bringing the super tough Dark Souls to the PC RPG masses, but just because they had to use Xbox Live for it doesn't mean they'll partner up with Microsoft again.

They may have another announcement soon "regarding the platform we'll be using." It's out August 24th and so there's "still a lot of time" to decide on their digital partner.

Having already been revealed as a cover story on a German magazine, Dark Souls has been officially announced as a PC title by Namco Bandai. The game will be released on the platform as Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, and will be a Games for Windows Live title.

Dark Souls is officially coming to the PC platform as German PC games mag PC Action will be featuring the game on the cover alongside Assassin's Creed 3, Risen 2: Dark Waters and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria.
