This is the beta of Crimson Spire 2.0, this map is to be played Human vs Human even if it is possible to play vs the computer.
Playing it against an AI is pointless, unless you just want to see the nis.
UCS, Nis Nislet, objectives description and dialogs :
The Crimson Spire2.0 scenarios calls upon dialogs contained in a new ucs file "Crimson_Spire_beta.ucs" located in
inquisition_daemonhuntLocaleenglish
NOTE: custom .ucs files added to the game causes sync error on multiplayer between
players not having Crimson Spire 2.0 instaled on their computer and playing the IDH mod online with players who get Crimson instaled.
this means that having the Crimson_spire_beta.ucs file present on ones computer will break online compatibility.
You wont be able to play with someone who do not has
the map instaled even if you are playing another map....
FLUFF AND BACKGROUND STORY/
"Crimsom Spire is a deamonic crossroad floating among the immaterium tide vomited by the Maelstrom.
Here the hordes of civilians captured during the chaos crusades transit in their "journey" to their new masters worlds.
The presence of Eliamus Torque, a traitor to the Inquisition, master of dark knowledge, on Crimsom Spire as been confirmed by the warpseers of the Deamonhunters.
The Inquisition, who's been following is trail since years, finally set foot on this world to capture him and stop anything the heretique is up to. Eliamus Torque, the renegade is in possession of the "Blasphemous Oath", an ancient pact between Tweench and Khorne greater demons, writen with a mix of their two bloods. These words have the power to bend and distort reality.
"The inquisition is there to prevent Eliamus Torque to complete a powerful ritual that will open a warp portal to one of the numerous deamonic world lost in the immaterium.
To open the portal the chaos player need to gather enough sacrificial victims with powerfull psyker abilities , get them at the ritual place and sacrifice them all at once.
Eliamus Torque will then use the raw power of the slain psychers to bend the reality and open the portal.
The Inquisition is trying to save as much psycher as possible and kill the traitor Inquisitor.
Once the portal will be effective Chaos will have enough strength to control the never ending flow of civilians and use them for their dark goals."
Instalation :
Just extract all the content to your Dark Crusade main folder.
I wish you could play this map versus an human oponent,
because playing it vs the ai is not very interesting.
Playing the game:
launch Darck Crusade and activate Inquisition daemonhunt mod,
the map is named Crimson_Spire_beta(2) it should appear among the three players maps list.
Some things to know about Crimson:
the blood pulse :
beware of the daemonic laugh : it is the warning that the blood pulse is going to be fired, any infantry unit will be killed if caught in the
blast radius.
Vehicules are not afected so use your infantry transport carefully :) and wisely.
1) to stop the blood pulse you need to capture the central strategic point.
2)The chaos player need to capture 8 psykers scatered around the chaos side of the map, it can be done by getting any chaos unit near a psyker.
The ownership will be transfered to the player. I may add a delay to prevent furious capture/uncapture batttle and pings saturation on the minimap.
Once captured the chaos player has to send the psyker to the sould cage (the cage near the chaos hq player),
the psyker will be ritualy teleported to the ritual place.
Once 8 psyker are gathered at the ritual place the warp gate will open and chaos reinforcement will start pouring out of the warp.
For the ritual to start the chaos player also must capture his relic. (this is suppose to be like that, but the code is a bit unstable.)
3) the North ruined temple on the inquisition side of the map is to be cleaned, beware of the ground around the temple: it drains life and energy of
every inquisition forces. watch carefully your troops health bar and get them out of the zone as quickly as possible.
The drain should stop once you are outside of the temple influence.
to stop this the inquisition player must capture the its relic, the strat point in the north temple and kill the daemon prince.
the daemon prince will only pop up if the Inquisitor himself is present in the North Temple.
4)capturing the inquisiotn relic with an active bloodpulse and a life drain is ......difficult, it requires a good micromanagement of your troops.
don't forget that two squads can cooperate to capture a relic or a strategic point.
i added a dummy code to allow people to play vs the computer, given the fact that the position must be fixed the human player will always be
player one and will always play Inquisition.
