During the late 1800's, there was a famous lawman, feared and respected by outlaws and bandits throughout the West. He let nothing stand in the way of his justice, which most often than not was delivered via the medium of his customized Colt Peacemaker. There was, however, one gang that over the course of many years he was never able to track down, known to all as the Seven Sins. The Stranger became obsessed with putting an end to the activities of the Seven. Calling upon all the resources he could muster, he began to assemble a vast volunteer force of people determined to see them hunted down and brought to justice. Deadlands is a 3rd person action horror title, which sees a murdered gunslinger, brought back to life through possession by an evil spirit. Known only as the Stranger, he seeks retribution against the Seven Sins, a merciless gang of criminals who have entered into a terrible pact with the Reckoners, an evil force from another plane of existence. Utilizing a vast array of customizable weaponry along with his newly acquired supernatural powers, the Stranger has access to a constantly increasing repertoire of special attacks and techniques which are acquired from defeated foes. He must use these 'coups' to fight his way through the horrors that lie before him and return each of the Seven to Hell.
