Valve details five new stretch goals for DOTA 2's Compendium

The number of fans buying the Interactive Compendium for DOTA 2's tournaments are growing fast, and the community have already unlocked two stretch goals. 25% of proceeds go into the International Prize Pool.

The digital tome is just $10 and is there to help fans navigate the tournament events. The next stretch goal is at $2m and rewards a custom HUD for all Compendium owners.

Valve has announced that enough sales of their $10 International Interactive Compendium have been achieved that owners of the DOTA 2 digital tome will now receive new Smeevil courier mounts.

It's a digital tome designed to guide players through DOTA 2's tournaments, as well as letting them participate in related events. 25% of proceeds go into the prize pool.

DDOS attack on DOTA 2 G-1 league allegdly motivated by $20k bet

According to some 4Chan chatter, the culprit behind the recent string of DDOS attacks on the Chinese G-1 league for DOTA 2 launched his campaign because of a $20,000 bet on the outcome.

The organisers were forced to declare early winners based on scores before gamers were disconnected and eventually suspending matches. It's believed IPs were cultivated via Skype.

Valve has announced in a forum post that Defense of the Ancients 2 (DOTA2) would have live Australian servers in January 2013.

Valve announces that the Steam Workshop launched this time last year, meaning the community content swap meet is a year old. It began life with Team Fortress 2, adding Skyrim a few months later.

Today over 10k "items, mods, quests," and new worlds are hosted for Bethesda's Skyrim. Then came Portal 2, DOTA 2, Civilization V, Total War: Shogun 2 and a bunch of indie games.
