Blizzard has posted some musings on their upcoming 1.0.8 update for Diablo 3. The team "really wanted to improve multiplayer co-op." Right now it can feel "easier and more efficient" to go it alone in Sanctuary.
There are as many downsides to co-op as there are advantages, and Blizzard want to address this. 1.0.8 will tackle new social features, direct group buffs and matchmaking tags.

According to former Diablo III game director Jay Wilson, the auction houses, both gold and real money, "really hurt the game," distorting the game's item value and game focus.

Blizzard has revealed another update for Diablo III. This time, a new Rollback policy allows the developer to monitor item duplication, and whether or not accounts have legitimately been compromised by the problem many reported at the end of 2012.

Blizzard has announced that the upcoming 1.0.8 patch for Diablo III will make Legendary items rarer, as well as tweaking their stats so that they match the monster they dropped from.
