Dragon Age II "longer than Mass Effect but shorter than Origins"

Producer Mike Laidlaw of BioWare has said that Dragon Age II will likely last longer than Mass Effect but won't rack up the hours of Dragon Age: Origins.

He notes it depends on "how you play games," either rushing through or taking your time. It's longer when side questing, with full bosses "tucked away".

RPG studio extraordinaire BioWare has described their processes for localising their massive games. They "can't stress enough" how critical tools are.

Studios must "have patience and think long term" when localising, and everyone should be involved as it grants you "extra checks and balances" that way.

Felicia Day to do Live Action Dragon Age Webseries

The Guild star and creator Felicia Day is working on a live action web series for Dragon Age, it has been revealed.

Dragon Age Redemption, as it is known, is a six-part series that will see Ms. Day take up the role of an Elven assassin known as Tallis, who is on a quest to capture a renegade magician.

Dragon Age II DLC to keep Hawke "consistent and progressing"

BioWare have learnt lessons from their DLC for Dragon Age: Origins and the "key request" they received has been to keep focus on the main character.

They pledge they will "keep the focus on Hawke this time around", hopefully signalling that the DLC will be completely integrated with no offshoots.

Another barcode teaser from BioWare has been decoded and it pointed to an English punk rock band and the image of The Clash The Singles album.

A previous binary string had the URL for the British Secret Intelligence Service. SCEE Russia recently slipped they had Mass Effect 3 for the VGAs.
