BioWare's Dragon Age Legends becomes downloadable free game

EA and BioWare have decided to repackage their browser-based Dragon Age Legends, which featured on Facebook and Google+, as a singleplayer game free to download and play.

The online aspects of the title were shut down after it failed to meet expectations. However they'll make online character profiles available soon for those who had them.

Electronic Arts has announced that its Facebook social networking game, Dragon Age: Legends, will be shut off in June. The game had been released in July 2011 as a companion to Dragon Age II.

Cassandra stars in animated film 'Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker'

BioWare is fleshing out their Cassandra character, who is seen in Dragon Age 2. She's an agent of the Templar and an animated film will explore her back story in the IP universe.

The film is set in Orlais, a location as of yet shown to Dragon Age fans. Why Cassandra? It "ties in with the themes" they've been building along the way. It explores the Templar more.

Bioware co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka has made an eye-opening revelation regarding the next chapter of the Dragon Age series - the next game will be going "in a different direction" and will have Bethesda's open-world roleplaying game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as a major influence.
