While Electronic Arts acquired some major licenses in the past few months, two of which are the lucractive Star Wars and mixed-martial arts UFC licenses, players shouldn't hold their breath waiting for a game based on them or Tiger Woods.

BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk doesn't hold much hope in the next generation of platforms as catalysts for revival. Unlike Microsoft and Sony "pull something magically out of a hat," it's the same old tricks.

It may sound obvious but Michal Nowakowski of CD Projekt RED makes it clear anyway; they want The Witcher 3 to be of "at least similar quality, if not better" than RPG rivals Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls.

The business development VP argues that marketing can only achieve so much, and that a 'strong partnership' is needed to carry it the rest of the way. Can The Witcher 3 match Skyrim's acclaim?

Dragon Age 3 serf Neil Thompson, BioWare's director of art and animation, has said the next-gen of hardware won't be as 'obviously superior' over the current Xbox and PlayStation.

Thompson says devs will do things in a "cleverer fashion" as "they'll be better prepared," but there's not going to be a "ten-fold team increase again" like last time as that "would just be ridiculous."

Dragon Age lead writer David Gaider, with 14 years of veterancy at the RPG studio, has admitted he spends less time among online fans at the official BioWare forums due to user 'toxicity'.

It can make him "feel negative" if he spends a little too much time among them, remarking that the "signal-to-noise ratio does seem to be worsening," driving him and others away.
