PAX East 2012: BioWare hints at Orlesian setting for Dragon Age III?

BioWare's Mike Laidlaw mentions "somewhere a little more - French" if the next Dragon Age instalment adopts an urban setting, with fans noting that's Orlesian territory right there.

Nothing was announced about a new Dragon Age, only teased that BioWare is taking feedback seriously. They'll "stop reusing levels" for one thing, and have "decisions that matter".

[img=24129][/img]BioWare has announced that post-release work on Dragon Age 2 has ceased - which means there will be no more patches or DLC for the game - and that the entire Dragon Age team has started on "the next phase of Dragon Age's future", which basically means whatever Dragon Age 3 will be.

Some high profile BioWare-ites have teased what the RPG studio has planned for the next major instalment to Dragon Age, and Hawke could return.

They could also go with an all-new protagonist - they haven't decided. In any event the world is tearing itself apart as Templars and Mages fight for control.

Shock!... is not related to this news as it was pretty well known BioWare would be sticking with Dragon Age for at least another instalment to the RPG IP.

Alistair McNally, senior director of creative development at BioWare Edmonton has been the first though to openly declare the project in the works at the studio.

According to the Official PlayStation Magazine's whisper column, BioWare is not only getting full swing into Dragon Age 3's development but it's got multiplayer.

BioWare want to explore more of the Dragon Age universe no doubt, but multiplayer sounds a little iffy. They're yet to decide how it can go into Mass Effect after all.
