Videogame industry veteran Ken Rolston, part of the creative force behind The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, is joining MMO developer Turbine.

Both Dungeons & Dragons Online and The Lord of the Rings Online made the successful transitions to going free-to-play, after originating as subscription-based MMOs. Now, both MMOs are going one step further, as cloud streaming MMOs which will obviate the need for taking up space on a hard drive or forcing players to download updates.

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that Turbine's free-to-play MMO expansion Dungeons & Dragons Online: Menace of the Underdark will be released on the 25th June. The expansion will focus on the evil Drow and their spider goddess Lolth.

Turbine has revealed some of the content that will be coming to Update 13, "Web of Chaos", for Dungeons & Dragons Online Unlimited. The update will serve as a prequel for the upcoming major expansion Menace of the Underdark, setting the stage with three new free quests.

Warner Bros. Interactive and Wizards of the Coast have announced the first major expansion to the free-to-play MMO Dungeons & Dragons Online Unlimited. The new expansion, Menace of the Underdark, finally brings the popular Forgotten Realms setting to the MMO, as well adding the Druid class and raising the level cap to 25. The expansion also has players facing off against the evil Drow in the caverns of the Underdark.
