Codemasters' virtual tyre screecher GRID 2 maintains first pole position in the UK all format chart for another week, with FIFA 13 equally holding onto 2nd. Dontnod's Remember Me enters 3rd, if memory serves.

Bethesda's Legendary bundle of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim came 4th, which is most impressive for a bunch of DLCs duck tapped together. Far Cry 3 was 5th, followed by Dead Island: Riptide.

Also included is the 1.9 update which added the Legendary difficulty and Legendary skills. What a neat coincidence they decided to call it the 'Legendary Edition', isn't it? Sure is.

While CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3 is set in an open world to be explored by Geralt, the studio isn't taking a typical "sandbox, mechanical solutions" approach to the gameplay - this is no Skyrim.

Every main quest and side distraction is being "hand-crafted very precisely," so as not to compromise "anything that we achieved" throughout the series. A big world needs "good stories."
