The Kickstarter campaign for Frontier Developments' Elite: Dangerous now stands over £826k with 15 days left for backers to reach a mighty £1.25 million. To that end, Frontier now accept Paypal.
The space sim still needs over £420k if it's too get Kickstarted, with the deadline January 4th. Frontier are issuing a "call to arms" as they release a teaser trailer for Elite: Dangerous.

Elite: Dangerous developer Froniter Developments has let 14 members of staff go just a little over a week from Christmas. The studio felt it best to tells those affected "ASAP so they can plan" accordingly.
The employ over 200 people, with those 14 made redundant from art, animation and audio. This was due to a "changing mix of skills" needed for future projects. Frontier 'remains healthy'.

David Braben narrates a new video released from Frontier Developments for their crowd-sourced crack at the Elite series. In this developer diary they look to detail their multiplayer plans.
There's not much fanfare to be had, but it's more about what Braben reveals throughout the footage. They show off a pursuit through an asteroid field. There's no sound, HUD or other fancy stuff yet.

Frontier Developments and David Braben have updated their Kickstarter campaign for Elite: Dangerous with a new project pitch video, and some concept artwork for the new space sim.
The studio has also revealed some more about what they propose for Elite's return to glory. In short: we start with a ship, a small pile of credits and our own moral scruples.
