Not the worst game you could ever pick up, but not to far from it either.

Graphics are sub-par, and choppy even on the lowest setting. Animations are extremely poorly done. And ships look like they're floating on air in a very choppy way.
AI is disgusting. Unit AI is awful, to say the least, and even set on the most difficult setting the AI will not give you much of a challenge (provided you are more than a trained monkey, in fact I think that's what the AI was based on).

Gameplay itself is not to bad. Teching up is always fun, and the races are actually quite unique (though it wouldn't have hurt to have more units per race). The later tech levels feel kind of like a starcraftish something, but they really aren't to bad. The Conquer the World mode is pretty fun.

Don't pick this game up unless you desperately need something to entertain you.
