Sup people, well this is my first released mod, which I have made by myself.
This is hopefully the first in a series of small-but-overhauling mods to Empire: Total War. This first debut installment is for making missile combat realistic in the game.
I found that in the vanilla version of E:TW, Muskets and Cannon had little or no proper effect in games, and that melee and wieght of numbers always prevailed. So I looked for mods, tried a few, but settled on DarthMod 1.9, by the Sith Lord himself
However, I found that even the Dark Side itself couldnt satisfy me, as I found that ranges were too short as were reloading times, and also some other various problems which my perfectionist mind couldnt handle, so I decided to make my own mod to change it.

Features/Changes in this Version
Cannon Ranges greatly increased. A 12 Pounder gun could throw round shot out at 5000 yards, albeit very innacurately. During my testing, I used a 24 Pounder with Canister loaded at 500 yards against a company of line infantry, and only made 6 kills until they got to 100 yards, when I obliterated half thier unit. There was one hell of a lot of powder used, which means long range, but you cant expect to do much damage with conventional shot until they reach 1000 yards.
Small Arms ranges have also been revised, as have reloading times for most weapons.
Upcoming Changes and Features
* Removing all Artillery Units above 18 Pounder
* Adding artillery that would be realistically used at the time (6, 9 and 12 pounder pieces)
* Adding a few siege pieces (ie. 18 Inch Mortars, 24 Pounder Cannon)
* Revising Cost of Artillery
* Refining Ranges and Accuracy of all Missile Units
* Responding to feedback and suggestions
This Is A Beta, Get Over It!
This is the first version of this mod and has not undergone very much testing. This is a beta, not the finished thing, so please download it and scrutinize it so I can make it better.
Also please note that this is my first released mod, so if its not up to your standards, please bugger orf .

I would like to point out that all files in this mod were made by Darth Vader, and that the only files I have modified are Projectiles and Land_Unit_Stats, which were originally modded by Darth Vader until I modded the mod, so to speak.
Anyway, I take no credit from the works of Darth Vader, all of those files apart from those I have tweaked are his, and I deeply thank him for his work to the community and modding in general. He is an inspiration to us all. *creep creep, lick lick*
Also I would like to thank LtChambers for his awsome tool, and for enabling us to patch up CA's many mistakes.
I worked alone on this without help, advice or support, only making this mod so by lashing together a couple 'o sea turtles...
Requires DarthMod 1.9, Am Unsure of Compatability with other versions.
1. Download the file from the link.
2. Decompress the file using 7zip, Win RAR or the like.
3. Make a backup of your darthmod file, rename it, and move to a folder outside of Data
4. Rename the downloaded file to darthmod.pack and copy into the Data folder.
5. Load up the game, and play!
Easiest way to know this is installed properly: Play a land battle with 1 unit of Line Infantry against one 12 pounder cannon...
