This truck simulation game in a European setting, with European long haulage trucks, was developed and produced by SCS Software of 18 Wheels of Steel fame.
Drive across a realistic depiction of Europe, visit its beautiful cities, pick up a variety of cargos, and deliver them on time!
All featured trucks use highly realistic, meticulously detailed models based on real trucks. The truck interiors of Euro Truck Simulator are as equally impressive as the exteriors. With actual working instruments such as flashing indicators, temperature and low fuel warning lights, wipers, and naturally - a full set of gauges including speedometer - all built into the interior 3D model, Euro Truck Simulator offers a truly immersive simulation environment.
The Current Euro Truck Simulator version is 1.3
Be advised that there are several different releases of the 1.3 update ("patch") - needed for different online and retail versions of the game as released in various territories. Is is important that you select the proper patch for your particular edition of the game, otherwise you will not be able to update your game!
How to update an older version of the game:
Download this multi-language online "Trymedia" edition. If you have the UK retail edition, you should grab that patch instead.
1. Download the full setup file of the latest Euro Truck Simulator below.
2. Uninstall your older version of the game. Don't worry about losing the license, it is stored in a different location than the game installation folder, so your valid license for the game survives through this and following steps, there is no need to re-activate.
3. Install the freshly downloaded 1.3 edition of the game
4. Play!
Note: The difference between patch V1.2 and V1.3 is that V1.3 contains minor bug fixes (no new features).
With update 1.3 you will have the Gold edition
