EVE Online drops old CPU support

If that CPU chugging away in that tin box of yours doesn't support the "SSE2 instruction set" then you can't play EVE Online anymore warn developer CCP.

The "Incursion 1.1.0 deployment" today brings an end to Pentium 3, AMD Athlon XP "or older CPUs" client PC support. This "obsolete" line is "nearly extinct."

CCP Online has deployed the second part of their Incursion update to MMO EVE Online, bring with it the "demise" of learning skills, so your all dunces.

No one will be in the 'advanced class' anymore as users will learn at the same rate. They also introduce the 'Echelon ship' with a special hacking module.

Space-based MMO EVE Online is going through yet another change in preparation for its next bi-annual update.

In patch due out sometime in December, developer CCP are planning to eliminate the 'learning skills' completely from the game.

CCP is releasing a Commissioned Officer Edition for EVE Online which includes a special ‘Cerebral Accelerator’ that boosts new player stats.

This is to let newbies get up to speed with how the game works, with the item only available from this edition and with the first created character.
