MOD DESCRIPTION: These are the highlights of what she can do:
Willow is a girl companion added to the NV gameworld. She has over 600 lines of voiced dialogue, written and acted specifically for the mod by me. There are other characters involved in the quests in the mod, and they are fully voiced as well, although primarily by game assets. There are five quests in the mod. Two of them make up the foundation of the experience of having Willow as a companion. The others are accessory quests which go along with traveling with Willow. You may or may not ever do them. One is quite simple and small and there purely for the fun of it and the others are there for structure and flavor.

Willow can be found on the road South of Primm between the Nevada Highway Patrol Station and the Nipton Road Restop. She has a backstory and a history that will be revealed to you through conversation and her Idle Chatter.

Her tagged skills are Speech, Barter and Survival. Her weapon skill is Small Guns. You will receive a perk automatically when you hire her, the Silver Tongue Perk, which will raise your Speech skill by 10 and your Charisma by 1. There are other perks to be earned in the mod as well.

Willow is faction neutral and can wear faction armor. She has no interest in politics and does not care which faction you align yourself with. She also does not care about your behavior from a karma perspective. Her primary concern about your behavior is how you treat her.

Her features become available at different points in her quests. Some things do not become available to you until you have discussed them with her in dialogue even if they should be available per the quest. Talking to her is very important. What she says gives you clues about how to proceed in her main quest as do quest updates and the notes you receive in your Pipboy. I recommend that you check your Pipboy whenever the quest updates if you are feeling lost about what to do next about her.

When you first meet her and she goes with you:

-IMPORTANT: Willow is not "hired" at this point. She has no companion wheel. She does not get the wheel until you return Beauty to her.

- She has an antivenom script so if she is poisoned, and you have put Antivenom into her inventory, she will use it. She will use one no more than every 30 seconds if she is being re-poisoned.

- If you give her stimpaks she will heal herself if injured out of combat. This stops once she is "hired" and you have returned Beauty to her.

- Willow has a script that keeps her following you throughout the Mojave. This makes sure that when you travel through doors, etc that she stays with you when she is following you. If, for some reason, you have gone quite a long distance and she still has not shown up, you can use her radio(once you have received it) to get her back to you.

Once "hired" (when Beauty is returned to her):

- Her dialogue is handled through the companion wheel. Although the vast majority of her dialouge occurs outside of the wheel.

- In passive mode Willow will not attack enemies until the player is in combat.

- She will set up a campfire for you to use. She can also cook a few recipes when it is set up.

- She will sit down when you do.

- You have a "radio" to use to:
-go to her position
-call her back to your location from wherever she is

- She "scavenges" for stuff. She finds caps and various items which are added to her inventory.

- She keeps a container for you that she cannot touch. You may keep anything in it that you wish. For example, she can carry armor and helmets in it that she will not equip.

- You can ask her to guard an area on "alert" (with her weapon drawn).

- If the player takes the Ferocious Loyalty Perk, Willow is affected along with the vanilla companions. If the player has Animal Friend when Willow is first encountered, and before she is "hired" animals will not attack her as well.

- There are consequences to "firing" her.

- Her idle chatter begins. This feature can be toggled. She only comments once every 5 minutes and will also comment in a few locations in the Mojave. You may turn off her singing or ask her to sing more.

- She will sleep on her bedroll if you ask her to.

- You can give her a house marker to send her to wait.

- You can give her gifts.

Best Friends Forever

- You will be able to give her commands during combat. These include the ability to tell her to:
-follow you without attacking
-flee the area
-wait without attacking

- She will sleep in a bed if you ask her to.

- She will sandbox if you ask her to.

- She will cook for you. Using her Survival skill of 100, she asks you to bring the ingredients and then you get to choose anything on the menu and she "makes" it for you.

- You can suggest to Willow that she grab a bite to eat. This will get her to sit down (or stand if there is no place to sit) and she will eat/drink for a couple of minutes.

- You can ask her to unholster/holster her weapon when you do so.

- She will unlock her clothes.

Romance (If you choose to pursue this option)

- She will provide you the opportunity to have a fade to black "sex" scene with her. It is repeatable.

Extended Friendship

- You can see her collection through dialogue.

Unarmed Training (if you choose to do the quest/meet the objective)

- She will fight with Unarmed or Melee weapons.

- She will loan her beloved rifle to you.

Your New Vegas game must be patched through Steam to version 1.4 or Willow will never appear in your game.

Lucky38: Willow does not wait in the Casino or go straight up to The Suite. If you want her to do either of those things you have to ask her to do it, otherwise she will follow you up to see Mr. House, etc.

The DLCs: I do nothing to prevent Willow (and J.T.) from going into the DLCs with you (nor do I script anything to support the DLCs since I don't own them). If you don't want them to go along have them wait in the Mojave for you (you DO NOT NEED TO FIRE WILLOW). They will wait forever.

Following Bug (this happens very, very rarely): There are a couple of reasons this might happen.

1) You have Sexual Innuendo in your load list. Apparently SI can disrupt her following packages (and Veronica's and Cass' as well). I'm not suggesting it's a bad mod, I am suggesting you be careful using it and try to figure out which activities might be disrupting the girls' packages so you can save before doing those things in order to reload if anything goes wrong.

2) You have Animated Prostitution in your load list. Pretty much the same as SI.

If she isn't following you should first try using her radio to bring her back to you and get her to follow again. If that doesn't work take her journal away from her. As a last resort use her combat radio. That will usually snap her out of it.

Antivenom Scripts for Willow and J.T. These do not work with Monster Mod. I recommend, that if you are playing your game with it installed that you use Companion Cure if you are interested in doing so.

CRASHING and Willow in an existing gamesave

Q.Are you adding Willow mid save game?

1. Are you running Purge Cell Buffers? This is a conflict that causes crashing.

2. If you have added Willow, and no other mods, and your game has begun to crash and freeze, untick her and save her for the next new character you start (do not delete the mod because deleting causes more problems). Adding the mod has created a conflict in your modlist. This can happen when you add a mod midgame. You proabably won't be able to resolve it if it isn't Purge Cell Buffers. There is no point in going through part of the quest and getting more and more frustrated when if you add her to a new character things should work fine.

PURGE CELL BUFFERS - appears to cause problems with the Beauty and the Toys Quest. It appears to cause crashing during the quest and it sends Kenny and Kyle to the Viper Encampment straight away.

SEXUAL INNUENDO - Can disrupt Willow's (and Cass' and Veronica's) following packages. I don't know all the ways in which it can disrupt their packages. I suggest that if you are going to have them together in the same play list that you try to figure out what activity(ies) you are doing in SI that disrupt her following packages so you can save before doing it/them. That way you will be able to reload if anything goes wrong.

ANIMATED PROSTITUTION - Can affect her following packages like SI will.

MO'WILLOW - Is no longer maintained and is out of date with the current version of Willow and will cause crashing.

FNVEdit and Willow:
1. Do not MasterUpdate Willow. Masterupdating worked well in FO3, but can cause problems in NV. Don't masterupdate Willow as I do not guarantee that her scripts, etc will work properly when it's done. She acted nutty, frankly, when I tried it.
2. Do Not Clean this mod. I have already done it. You might want to know this about the ERRORS WHICH SHOW UP IN NVEDIT AND WHICH ARE NOT A PROBLEM:

They do not cause crashing. They appear like this: "Error: record PACK contains unexpected (or out of order) subrecord." I had them in my CharonImproved mod in FO3. I have them in this mod for the same reason. It is from the packages that I use without beginning/ending times. The other permanent error "DATA - Flags -> ;Above errors were found in :WastelandNV "Mojave Wasteland" [WRLD:000DA726]; Above errors were found in :GRUP Top "WRLD"" is the Wasteland error that is a known issue and is also NOT A PROBLEM.

-I recommend putting any esp follower mods towards the bottom of your load list. Right above weather mods or as low as you can go meeting the needs of other mods you have running. That's where I always put all of my NPC related mods. And, it's where I run Willow.

-The NVWillow.esp and the NVWillow.bsa go into your data folder.

-There are some loose folders. Put the Sound folder contents into your SoundVoice folder. When you are done with the sound folder installation your file path should look like this Data > Sound > Voice > NVWillow.esp (that is the sound folder named NVWillow.esp).

-Meshes and Textures folders are there so you can change her body to whatever you want or if you are using the More Lore Friendly Version they also contain the outfit meshes and textures:
These folders should go into the Meshes and Textures folders obviously. The WillowWillow Race folders control her body meshes and textures. You have complete control over that. I have given her the Type3 Cali Body with the Feminine Small Hands and Type3 textures. You can easily change her body type by changing the contents of those folders.

1. If you're looking for another good companion to travel with you in the Mojave I strongly recommend you try: Wendy Gilbert Companion by RickerHK. Wendy and Willow make a great team.

2. How about infinite ammo for any companion (modded or vanilla) for any weapon? GARU is a great mod for that.

3. If you are using BNB and would like to change Willow's outfit tattooedillusions has released a BNB version of the mod which contains her outfit.

Thank you so much to everyone who so generously loaned me their hard work! I have included a separate document in the DL to list them all.

Thanks to all the players who have given me feedback.
Thanks to my husband for putting up with the hours I've put into this. I love you.
Thanks to Riven1978, Spaceritual and BlueDanube for testing v95 Willow.
Thanks to carlosjuero for testing v96 Willow.
Thanks to Radar E 33 for testing v97.1 Willow.
Thanks to bethjunkie for your support as idea bouncer and morale booster. <3
Thanks to rickerhk for his generous help. He's told me the answers to some problems I would never have figured out on my own and I successfully squashed some bugs because of it.

Thanks to the people who made the game so I had somewhere to put Willow!

Do not use any part of Willow without first asking my permission.

Willow, like other mods, may cause terrible things to happen. I do not want to cause too much concern, but I have heard bad breath, devastating Cheetos shortages, or talking cats and dogs are a possibility. Or corrupt game saves. Please consider yourself forewarned.
