During our Fallout: New Vegas interview with Obsidian Entertainment's Josh Sawyer, we got cheeky and popped the 'Alpha Protocol' question.
AP wasn't received that well, so did it affect the New Vegas team? It was "kind of sobering" he said, and feels they maybe 'internalised' too much.

During an Interview with Strategy Informer, Obsidian Entertainment's Project Director and Lead Designer Josh Sawyer revealed that Fallout: New Vegas is complete, and that the firm is ready to submit the game for certification at Sony and Microsoft.
"Oh it's done. We're actually getting ready to submit. The only thing we've been doing recently is fixing bugs, stabilising frame rates, certification at Sony and Microsoft and that's it! We're getting ready." said Sawyer.

There will be no wandering the wastes after you complete that final mission in Fallout: New Vegas, because Obsidian want an "impactful" climax.

Bethesda has announced the release date for Obsidian Entertainment's Fallout: New Vegas, alongside its freshly aired official E3 trailer.
The latest in the long-running series will retail October 19th in the US, and October 22nd in Europe for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Not a direct sequel.
