| A lawsuit brought against Square-Enix over alleged "hidden fees" for the MMO Final Fantasy XI has been dismissed by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The ruling was made last week on the 20th December. |

| The earthquake and tsunami which had forced Square Enix to shut down the Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV servers to conserve power will be going back online this Friday at 8pm Tokyo time. |

| Japanese servers shut to 'conserve' (2) |
| Square Enix and the PlayOnline service have switched off their multiplayer server farms in order to save what power they can in Japan following the quakes.
Kojima Productions have also announced Metal Gear Online will be off in Japan as well. Square aren't charging for subscriptions to FFXI and FFXIV in April. |
