Red 5's Firefall in open beta July 9th
Red 5 Studios are getting "incredibly excited" as we near the official open beta period for their free-to-play MMO Firefall, a "skill-based vertical combat" shooter. Everything is set and ready for July 9th.
They have major milestones throughout May and June in the prep for open beta like introducing city power levels for bonuses and rewards as well as more crafting and progression.

Red 5 Studios has announced today that Firefall will begin its first public beta test this Friday during an unlocked 48-hour “Beta Weekend”. The weekend will be the first of three that will be run this year in February and March.

Action MMO Firefall now has dedicated European servers, announces Red 5 Studios, after a successful "dark launch" beta stress-test conducted last weekend. They've got the server muscle ready.
Their launch is just in time for the scheduled December 7th beta weekend, although they "still expect some kinks" as stress-testing continues. CEO Mark Kern is confident of improvements and "less lag".

Developer Red 5 has announce don the official site that the studio will be hosting open beta weekends throughout November and December for its third person shooter MMO Firefall.

Red 5 Studios has gotten rid of MMO-style levelling up in its title, saying the design encouraged players to give up early in the beta.
