It isn't enough that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier features futuristic military equipment that includes cloaking devices. The game will also pit players against elite soldiers who are... werewolves.

The players will face off against a group called The Bodark. It's not clear whether these elite soldiers are literal werewolves or not, but UbiSoft takes them from Russian legend of Bodarks, who are men who willingly become lycanthropes.

A Ghost Recon film was already an intriguing prospect but now there are even more reasons to get excited for it.

Ubisoft has confirmed that not only will Ghost Recon Alpha, the twenty five minute live action movie, be a prequel to the upcoming Ghost Recon Future Soldier game but it will also have two interesting hooks for players. Somewhere in the movie is a code that will unlock exclusive weapons for use in Future Soldier.

UbiSoft creative director Jean-Marc Geoffrey is bragging that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is far more realistic and grounded in reality than the "arcade-y" Call of Duty titles, despite the former featuring active camouflage and the ability to see enemies through walls.

UbiSoft has announced their version of Call of Duty: Elite with the Ghost Recon Network, a free app for smartphones, tables and web browsers.

The Ghost Recon Network will allow players to interact with not only Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, but all future Ghost Recon titles. Players will be able use the app to customize weapons, send and receive challenges as well as study heatmaps and other related information, all done remotely.

Ubisoft has announced that the PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be released for PC on the 15th June. The game will be available both in retail and digital.

The PC version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will feature full DirectX 11 support including DX11 renderer, hi-quality Assets, additional post process Effects, multi-monitor solutions support, TriDef stereoscopic support), DX11 enhanced tessellation (for soft 3D models), shaders-based realistic lighting and volumetric fog.
