Peter Molyneux feels this indie craze that's burning strong right now is reminiscent of his coding days back in the 80s where anyone could try making a game, but it'll fizzle out just the same eventually he warns.

"These things go in cycles," he remarked. Already he's seeing investor capitalists circling the waters looking to 'corporatize' indie developers; creativity will stifle.

22Cans and Peter Molyneux have finally come up for air after being relatively silent for so long on Godus' progress, and today they bring us not only an update on the update, but the update itself!

Godus is officially swimming in Beta 2.0 waters now, and there have been some rather fundamental changes as they decided to go after "crucial, deep-seated issues" with it.

Peter Molyneux and his team at 22Cans will be releasing a trailer for the impending PC Beta 2.0 update for Godus, which is a dramatic overhaul of the god sim addressing key technical hurdles.

The update itself is scheduled to release sometime this month. It's been very quiet from 22Cans with the last video update in 2013. The current beta build has stagnated.

In a brand new beta update dev diary from 22cans we hear from Peter Molyneux all about the big changes coming to the God sim, with the epoch card system overhauled and empowered with stickers.

We use our resources (stickers) that we collect to 'power up' cards which can then unlock advancements for our people. The video also exposes the new Follower system in the works.
