R2-D2 runs riot in Grand Theft Auto IV mod

YouTube user jmoorfoot4 has created a new mod for Grand Theft Auto IV, which replaces Niko Belic with none other than R2-D2.

Of course, R2 gets sort of a mean streak, as he runs over pedestrians and destroys cars and people which is suddenly powerful laser beam.

In yet another homage to the recently announced Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar Games, a fan has painstakingly recreated it using Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Analysts believe the next GTA instalment will be arriving during summer next year, possibly as early as June to pinch some of E3 2012's thunder. GTA fans sure are dedicated.

Actor Ray Liotta not in GTA V trailer

Hollywood tough guy Ray Liotta was not in the recent Grand Theft Auto V debut trailer, confirms the actor's representatives, who voiced Vice City's Tommy Vercetti.

Speculation was growing thick and fast that former 1980's protagonist Vercetti would be returning in GTA V, but Liotta's lack of involvement has taken the wind out of its sails.

Volition design director Scott Phillips says that Saints Row: The Third has "defined" what the studio wants from the series, and that they won't ever go in a 'serious' direction.

Saints Row has captured its own corner of the sandbox as an all-out, unabashed prankster with a love of toilet bowl humour. That's the way it's staying promises Volition.

Dan Houser of Rockstar Games says you "have to have originality" in your title, "some kind of interesting message." Rockstar want us to "really feel" a game.

They're "deliberately avoiding" the Western fascination with military-style FPS titles, and Rockstar doesn't even think of Max Payne 3 as a straight shooter.
