Rockstar deny remastered GTAV delay rumours

Rockstar held the next-gen version of GTAV back for retailers only at Gamescom last month, sparking rumours that the much-anticipated remastered version would be delayed until 2015.

After a fan questioned Rockstar regarding the delay a representative popped up to confirm that the "release date has not changed", and that the title is still planned for release this Fall on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Heists for GTA Online maybe the big thing current Grand Theft Auto 5 players are wanting - that, and some single-player DLC - but what of us poor PC gamers?

Troubling news from Gamescom suggests that Rockstar will be keeping GTA 5 a while longer, missing the supposed late 2014 release. Apparently it was at Gamescom, but only for retailers.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima is apparently a big fan of the recently-announced enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

In an interview with CVG, Kojima called the GTAV next-gen trailer "super impressive", and said that when he watched it recently he "got depressed again". Poor Hideo.

Grand Theft Auto V was announced for PC and current-gen consoles at E3 last week, and the good chaps over at Digital Foundry have taken the time to compare the trailer for the original version of the game with its shiny new form.

Things to notice: lovely grass, better lighting and hammerhead sharks.

After much speculation, Rockstar has finally confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 will indeed be released on PC and current-gen consoles this Fall.

On the official Rockstar blog the developers promise "new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover."
