Call of Duty: Ghosts defends against LEGO Marvel Super Heroes in UK chart

Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts has kept the top UK chart spot for another week as Traveller's Tales' LEGO Marvel Super Heroes debuts second. FIFA 14 rises third, swapping with Assassin's Creed IV.

Battlefield 4 has been knocked down fifth, followed by Grand Theft Auto V. The latest LEGO instalment has become the second biggest in week one sales, beaten only by LEGO Indiana Jones.

The NPD Group released its report for October sales, and revealed that Grand Theft Auto V maintained its hold on the top spot, fending off Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, though if one were to count X and Y as the same game, Pokemon sold the most in the month.

Rockstar tease "exciting new Story Mode updates" for GTA V to be unveiled soon

In an announcement for the free Beach Bum update for GTA Online, which includes new weapons, vehicles and jobs, Rockstar has also briefly mentioned new info on "some exciting new Story Mode updates".

Story Mode is of course the single-player portion that is Grand Theft Auto V, as opposed to the near standalone multiplayer of GTA Online. This new info is due "very soon."

Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Ghosts has launched at the highest echelons of the UK all format chart, which is no surprise. It has become the third biggest launch of 2013, behind Rockstar's GTA V and FIFA 14.

Amazingly the PS4 versions on sale early for Ghosts made up 3% of launch week sales, beating Assassin's Creed IV and Battlefield 4 PS3 sales. Grand Theft Auto V is aptly fifth.

GTA Online updated to 1.05, GTA$ Stimulus Package rolling out

Rockstar Games is now beginning the rollouts of the $500,000 GTA$ Stimulus Package for GTA Online characters that were created throughout the month of October now that update 1.05 is live.

The money gift from Rockstar has long been delayed because of continued instability with GTA Online, but the studio has taken steps to ensure character progress isn't lost.
