NCSoft and ArenaNet permanently drop Guild Wars 2 price
The MMORPG Guild Wars 2 is from now on a bit cheaper as NCSoft and developer ArenaNet has snipped the price tag down, which came into effect yesterday. The standard edition now costs $50 / £34.99.
The Digital Deluxe is lowered to $70 / £49.99. They decided to permanently lower the price to lure in more players as ArenaNet keeps releasing new episodic content.

In their Q1 fiscal 2013 report, NCSoft has revealed that Guild Wars 2 has dropped significantly in sales figures, but the company is far from in trouble. A 35% drop in sales from last quarter is revealed.
However operating profit, while down 51% from last quarter, is in fact a huge 348% boost year-on-year as it hits ₩55,512 million. Last quarter held the launch for Guild Wars 2.

A month ago, ArenaNet showed off the Super Adventure Box minigame for Guild Wars 2, in which players could jump into a retro-arcade world within Guild Wars 2. The cinematics director, Matthew Oswald, discussed what went into the commercial for a fictional game seen in the trailer, as shown here.

If you're going to make an April Fool's Day joke for your game, why not make it an actual mini-game, as Guild Wars 2's prank is Super Adventure Box, an in-game retro-styled area.

ArenaNet has announced that the major The Razing event is now live on Guild Wars 2. The developer promises gamers will "meet new allies, face the combined power of the dredge and Flame Legion, and take part in a vastly improved World vs. World experience!"
