| Gabe Newell has started hinting around that it would be "fun" to remake the original Half-Life in HD. During Episode 48 of the Steamcast podcast, Newell replied to a question that if there were a remake of the game from 1998, if the cut content would be restored, "No, I think we'd just invent new stuff. I mean, I think we're much better game designers and developers than we were back then. It'd be fun to go back and do a remake." |

| Before Half-Life cemented PC developer Valve in most gamers' hearts forever, Gabe Newell reveals they had plans to release a submarine title.
The boss says that no idea 'ever really dies' at Valve, it's more a question of "how long until we get around" to it. It's their "furthest back" unshipped project. |
