Valve titles now available on Impulse
Impulse, the digital distributor now owned by videogame retailer GameStop, has announced that select Valve titles will now be available for purchase on the service.

Gabe Newell has started hinting around that it would be "fun" to remake the original Half-Life in HD.
During Episode 48 of the Steamcast podcast, Newell replied to a question that if there were a remake of the game from 1998, if the cut content would be restored, "No, I think we'd just invent new stuff. I mean, I think we're much better game designers and developers than we were back then. It'd be fun to go back and do a remake."

Before Half-Life cemented PC developer Valve in most gamers' hearts forever, Gabe Newell reveals they had plans to release a submarine title.
The boss says that no idea 'ever really dies' at Valve, it's more a question of "how long until we get around" to it. It's their "furthest back" unshipped project.
