Half life 2 : xp is a new mod for, well, half life 2.
It will feature many various tweaks and improvements to npcs and weapons and other stuff like new models, weapons, hud.
Something we have done to the strider is good.
Taken from the read me:
The strider has been made weaker.But due to this, they come in squads.
Also it uses its immolator cannon more often.
Some other things you might like:

Citizen Squads
------------------------------------------------------
Instead of having 4 citizens (maximum) helping you, you can now have 10!
Which will help in the most intense battles.

Metropolice
------------------------------------------------------
They now only give 1 warning instead of 3.
Dunno why, but the combine are getting harsher. ^_^
They also carry twice as much ammo.

The Barnacle
------------------------------------------------------
The barnacle now has the swallow code enabled.
Barnacles can kill you in one bite now, it makes it more realistic if you have something with sharp teeth
eating away at your head, your gonna die instantly aint ya?

Airboat
------------------------------------------------------
The airboat gun can hold a maximum of 500 bullets instead of 100.
Recharge rate doubled.

Alyxs Gun
------------------------------------------------------
Alyxs gun is a new weapon, which is usable by gordon freeman, and not just alyx.
This is one of many new weapons planned.

Annabelle

You know the monks shotgun; the annabelle.
Well, it is another NEW USABLE WEAPON in hl2:XP.
Im looking forward to the release of the second beta.
