There are a few glitches with this mod due to the size of it. For one, the tower dosnt fully render until you are right up next to it, also I intended to mod from the original map, but instead i accidentally modded on JOeKEyz's Roboclaw Sidewinder mod. So there are still some remnants of his work on there and i take no credit for those.

For the record, the teleporter of death is another glitch, intended to put a sniper platform WAY out into the void of the ma where nothing is, but it was to far out and it never rendered, but you could still teleport. So it just drops you into oblivion. I though it was interesting so i left it there.

how do you make map mods work... im new to modding

this mod is for sidewinder, so the mod file is sidewinder.map

You go into you halo 1 core files (usually by going into mycomputer, disk C, program files, and then into Halo Combat Evolved, then MAPS.) then you take out the sidewinder.map file that is already there, but it in a safe place, then replace it with this one.

The README.txt file that comes with the download tells you how to do everything. from installing the mod, to setting it up in a game.
