20th November date for Hitman: Absolution, Sniper Challenge confirmed

Square Enix today confirmed the development of Hitman: Sniper Challenge, a standalone title that will be made available for free to those who pre-order a copy of Hitman: Absolution on the 15th May.

It will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, although a PC version won't be available until 1st August on Steam.

According to Hitman's Facebook page, some news will be arriving in three days.

According to the post, "Heads up! A MAJOR announcement is coming up on MAY 10th. Don't miss this!"

IO Interactive is promising that Hitman Absolution will have the most individualised NPCs ever in a game, as the developer will give every single enemy a biography and AI personality.

According to game director Tor Blystad, the game features 2000 pages worth of script for the AI alone. Enemies won't be cookie-cutter characters, each and every one with their own name, identity and behavior.

HItman: Profession registered as a trademark

The European office of Square-Enix, which is publishing Hitman Absolution, has trademarked the name Hitman: Profession. The publisher has given no clue as to what this trademark is far.
