IO has focussed on "easing the player into" Hitman: Absolution

The Hitman franchise has been "a very hard game" historically, and it "still is in many ways," but IO also put a lot of new effort into "easing the player" into it.

Hitman: Absolution won't be as punishing to newcomers. The new AI means Rambo fans "can play Rambo better than ever before", but stealth is deeper too.

E3 2011: Square Enix 'saved face' at E3 thanks to Eidos merger

Koji Taguchi, a senior executive officer of Square Enix Holdings, has admitted that their Japanese counterparts did poorly at E3 this week on the show floor.

In fact it was because of the Eidos merger they had Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman to strut around and as a company they were "able to keep face."

Square-Enix has released a press release announcing the games it'll be showing off at E3 2011 this year.

Square Enix has told us that the world premiere of the Hitman: Absolution trailer will debut on Wednesday, June 8th at 10:47am PDT at E3 in the Square Enix booth 1647 in the South Hall.

IO Interactive director Tore Blystad states in an interview that making Hitman: Absolution more accessible while still keeping the elements the 'hardcore' Hitman fans love is a difficult job.
