Dev: Diana's death crucial to Hitman Absolution

It's not a spoiler to reveal that agent 47's handler Diana Burnwood is dead in the game, and Hitman: Absolution director Tore Blystad stated that killing her off was a "tough" decision, but it will have a serious emotional effect on the bald hitman.

Gamers may remember the group of stripper nuns who attempted to assassinate Agent 47 in an earlier trailer for Hitman: Absolution. The group, called "The Saints", gets profiled by the the ICA (International Contract Agency), in the first of a series of videos that will provide in-depth background on the main characters from the game.

An Italian retailer lists Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money as part of a Hitman HD Collection for the PlayStation 3. It's out this October 15th, they say.

Those three Hitman titles are the 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the franchise. Hitman: Absolution releases November 20th. Are Eidos and Square Enix preparing a HD bundle for the bald guy?

Square Enix profitable thanks to Deus Ex: HR and Final Fantasy XIII-2

The accounts look good for Square Enix thanks to 2011's Deus Ex: Human Revolution and this year's Final Fantasy XIII-2, which helped bring in a profit of ¥6 billion. Last year lost ¥12 billion.

The figures were "favourable" thanks to those two "major titles" in the Square Enix line-up. No specifc sales numbers have been divulged for either release, but Deus Ex has at least shipped 2m.
