In the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, IO Interactive’s director Tore Blystad revealed that the early build of Hitman: Absolution was to have regenerating health, but a design decision was made to drop it.

The multiplayer feature for Hitman: Absolution revolves around player created 'Contracts' that challenge others to take out a set number of targets in any given level throughout the game.

It was born out of how fans of Hitman would compare and brag about their playthroughs. Now a trailer from dev IO better explains the concept to competitive gamers.

IO Interactive has revealed a multiplayer feature for Hitman: Absolution where a player can select any three targets on a given level to be taken out and challenge others to beat their time.

The studio is calling this asynchronous online challenge 'Contracts' with contenders awarded money for doing so. Have 47 bump off three targets with a certain weapon then upload the 'Contract'.

The first three months of this fiscal year for Square Enix aren't the hottest as they suffer a net loss of ¥2bn, with net sales up just 1.6% year-on-year to ¥24.9bn. Last year Q1 profitted ¥690m.

A weak release schedule was the root of the fiscal trouble. Square reports Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D as being one of the top earners. The rest of this fiscal is loaded.
