Indie developer Dennaton confirms Hotline Miami 2 at GDC

Independent developer Dennaton has announced at GDC 2013 that it is working on a sequel to its bloody serial killer game set in the 1980's, Hotline Miami.

Dennaton Games' Hotline Miami will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this spring, reveals publisher Devolver Digital, bringing along its "tough as nails gameplay" and stylish flair.

Dutch studio Abstraction Games is behind the PlayStation versions of Hotline Miami. It supports 'Cross-Buy' so one purchase equals both PS3 and Vita play.

Hotline Miami has become a huge hit over the last few weeks. Creator Jonatan Soderstrom announced on Twitter that work has started on the game's sequel.

You can now use your Xbox 360 controller for Windows with Hotline Miami thanks to an update released today on Steam. To disable the pad you may need to switch it off and restart the PC.

The update also means remapping "now works with arrow keys as well." Most of the bugs reported "have been fixed." A bonus 'Highballer' stage is available to be unlocked after the main story.

The neon-lit ultra-violence of top-down shooter Hotline Miami from indie creator Jonatan Soderstrom could very well hit the PlayStation Store in the future, as he's "been talking to Sony" about it.

However he'd "need someone to port it" for PlayStation Vita. The indie action shooter has us massacre our way through bad guys indiscriminately. It's riding in the high 80's on metacritic.
