| After the disaster that was the collapse of 38 Studios, the Kingdoms of Amalur franchise was left gagged and bound in some obscure cabinet, but now Rhode Island is preparing to sell it off to those interested. Apparently there are a number of people sniffing around the IP, which analyst Michael Pachter appraises to be worth around $20 million. Rhode Island was left $130m in debt. |

| Publisher EA is shaking things up and among the casualties list is apparently the EA Partners label which saw third-party developers have their work signed up for distribution through EA's retail channels. The likes of Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Bulletstorm and Rock Band all passed through the program, but now it faces the chop in the pursuit of streamlining. |
