Riot Games is getting tough. Eight players have been temporarily suspended from League of Legends season two, with all rewards also withdrawn. These individuals have been caught in the act of Elo-boosting. In layman's terms, this means logging into someone else's account to help improve your own.

Research firm SuperData claims in a report that the UK will generate £216 million this year in revenue from virtual goods. These are micro-transaction from the likes of FarmVille and League of Legends.
£812 million has already been pulled in by retail sales in the most arduous year yet for the sector, and it's a figure expected to dramatically rise in the next 8 weeks. UK F2P worth £266.1m by 2015.
