Riot Games has introduced a new feature for League of Legends in which players may select a favorite type of role and be directed to a game where they can play in that role, much like, say, Healers LFG'ing in World of Warcraft.

Hacked twitter account exposes League of Legends: Supremacy card game

President and co-founder of Riot Games, Marc Merrill, had his twitter account hijacked over the weekend where false messages were posted announcing 'League of Legends: Supremacy' as a card game.

It was trademarked by Riot a year ago. Screens were shared showing a log-in screen and card templates. Merrill regained control and confirmed Supremacy was a prototype.

Wargaming's Victor Kislyi says 'ask not what your industry can do for you, but what you can do for your industry'. Okay he didn't really say that, but the message is clear: fight to promote the industry, not just yourself.

Speaking at DICE Europe, Kislyi says $75bn in revenue for games is 'squandered potential'. Studios must band together and "change people's view" if we want $200bn.

There are 116 characters in the League of Legends universe, and many were put together with quick backstories when the MOBA began its life. This is now catching up to developer Riot Games.

They've begun to suffer the "Marvel effect," as they try to juggle all these characters in a huge metaverse. There are "deeply disconnected issues" plaguing Runeterra.
